Details:  Ford took the decision to build an extra 500 RS500 Cosworth because Group A salon racing rules allowed 500 evolution examples to be built to homologate a more extreme specification.  Between 13^th - 24^th November 1986 Fords plant in Belgium made 500 RS Cosworth and were stored in Dagenham until specification was finalised.  It was then converted by Aston Martin who fitted larger Garrett AiResarch T04 turbocharge, a flip on the rear wing and the distinctive RS500 badge.  The RS500 model shown here is chassis number one, first prototype built and the only one of the four pre-production RS500 built by Ford themselves rather than Aston Martin.  An excellent scale model decorated in diamond white with authentic graphics, rear spoiler, sunroof and silver wheels.  Other trims are finished in black.  The interior is finished in grey with black RHD steering.  Features working wheels.  The Ford badge is finely replicated on the front and extends to the rear with the lettering Sierra RS500 Cosworth.  Model is presented on a removable plinth with a removeable hard plastic cover.
